Khurram Shahzad, DDS, MD
I grew up in Long Island, New York and went to college at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook where I majored in Biology and graduated with honors in 1997. I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in the top 10 percent of the class in 2002. Next I enrolled in the dual degree Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Northshore Medical Center and the Northport VA Medical Center. During this period, I graduated from SUNY Stony Brook Medical School in 2005 with an MD degree and completed a rigorous internship in General Surgery at LIJ/NS/VA. Finally I completed my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training at LIJ/NS/VA in 2008 having served as Chief Resident in my final year.
David Ahn, DMD
Dr. Ahn graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with honors in biochemistry. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2013. Upon graduation, Dr. Ahn was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base as an active duty Air Force general dentist for one year prior to his formal residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. During his time in residency, he performed full-scope oral and maxillofacial procedures with a special emphasis on the dentoalveolar, implant, orthognathic, trauma, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery.
